Best Mango Varieties in Pakistan, Ranked (2026)
Pakistan grows some of the best mangoes on earth, and every household has its favourite. To help you choose, we ranked the major varieties by sweetness, aroma, texture and how sought-after they are each season. Prices are per box with free delivery anywhere in Pakistan.
How we ranked them
We judged each variety on four things: sweetness, aroma, texture (how buttery and fibreless it is) and how sought-after it is each season. Pakistani mango taste is personal, so treat this as a guide, not gospel. The best mango is ultimately the one you love.
Every variety below is export-grade, naturally ripened and hand-graded, so even the lower-ranked ones are excellent. This ranking is about flavour intensity and demand, not quality.
The ranking: sweetest and most loved first
1. Anwar Ratol (Rs 2,100 per 5 kg, Rs 3,400 per 10 kg). Small, golden and almost candy-sweet, with an aroma that fills the room. It has the shortest season of all, which is exactly why mango lovers wait for it and it sells out first. Best for: anyone chasing pure, intense sweetness.
2. White Chaunsa (Rs 2,100 per 5 kg, Rs 3,300 per 10 kg). The premium, late-season Chaunsa people come back for year after year: honey-sweet, buttery and almost fibreless. Best for: gifting and the connoisseur who wants the finest box.
3. Black Chaunsa (Rs 1,800 per 5 kg, Rs 2,800 per 10 kg). Bold, rich and deeply aromatic, with the best flavour-for-rupee of the lot, and our bestseller. Best for: the everyday favourite that never disappoints.
4. Mausami Chaunsa (Rs 2,000 per 5 kg, Rs 3,100 per 10 kg). The first of the Chaunsa family to arrive, bright and classically sweet. Best for: starting the Chaunsa season early.
5. Sindhri (Rs 1,900 per 5 kg, Rs 2,900 per 10 kg). Large, golden and fibreless with a gentle honeyed sweetness, the mango that opens the season. Best for: big, juicy slices and feeding a crowd.
6. Dusehri (Rs 1,900 per 5 kg, Rs 2,900 per 10 kg). Juicy, fragrant and nostalgic, the household classic many of us grew up eating. Best for: a familiar, comforting favourite at a friendly price.
