Mango Season in Pakistan: Month-by-Month Calendar (2026)

Pakistan's mango season runs from late May to early September, but each variety has its own short window. Miss it by a few weeks and you wait a whole year. Here is exactly when every major mango ripens, so you can order each one at its peak.

When does mango season start in Pakistan?

The season opens in late May with Sindhri from the Sindh and southern Punjab belt, and runs through early September when the last late-Chaunsa leaves the orchards. The heart of the season — when the famous Chaunsa varieties peak — is July.

Mangoes are picked mature but firm, then ripen over a few days. Naturally ripened fruit (no calcium carbide or chemicals) tastes noticeably better, which is why same-week-from-the-orchard delivery matters.

Month-by-month mango calendar

Late May – June: Sindhri arrives first — large, golden and fiberless. Dusehri follows close behind, juicy and fragrant.

June: Anwar Ratol peaks — small, thin-skinned and intensely sweet, with the shortest season of all, often just a few weeks.

Late June – July: Mausami Chaunsa opens the Chaunsa season with the first taste of that famous aroma.

July: Black Chaunsa, the bestseller — deep, rich and the most aromatic Chaunsa — hits its peak. This is the centre of Pakistani mango season.

Late July – August: White Chaunsa closes the season as the premium late-summer mango many Multanis consider the finest of all.

Which mango should you order, and when?

If you want the earliest fruit, start with Sindhri and Dusehri in June. For the legendary short-window treat, order Anwar Ratol the moment it is in stock — it sells out fast. For the deepest, richest flavour, wait for Black Chaunsa in July. To end the season on the best note, pre-order White Chaunsa for late July.

Because each variety overlaps only slightly, the best approach is to order a box of each as it comes into season rather than waiting for one favourite.

How to get mangoes delivered fresh in Pakistan

If you are in Multan, you can pay Cash on Delivery and get lower prices, since the orchards are local.
